This art piece was created to depict the plethora of emotions associated with colour. What keeps surfacing in my memory is the colour on the hands in Holi (Indian festival of colours). The emotions, twinkle in eyes, hand painted with vibrant colours, silent bubbling impatience to colour anyone who comes near, the loud roar of children laughing, adults joining in and whole sky filled with rainbow colours. Feminine charm and beauty bridges all these emotions and moments together with colour, thus presenting ‘Holi’ both as subject and concept.
